How To Gape Your Asshole

Posted by Anna Bergeron on

Anal gaping is quite an extreme practise even by sex standards. Many of you might not have even heard of it before!

Gaping is probably the most extreme form of anal stretching you can do, and it can take hours for your anus to return to normal. While gaped, you can even see some of the rectal muscles inside your butt.

What Is An Anal Gape?

Gaping is essentially opening up your anus.

Most of the time it is caused by an extended session of anal sex, which keeps your anal muscles open long enough for them to get used to it and remain open even after removing the penis or sex toy. This sounds quite violent, but it’s usually done in a very controlled way.

It’s quite simply another part of sex enjoyed by some, even if other people might find it quite strange.

Why Do People Enjoy Anal Gaping?

Most of the time when people first learn about gaping, the only thing they want to know is why.

What could possess a person to open their anus so wide you can see inside? Like almost anything related to sex, there are a range of reasons, and each of them are very personal.

Some people simply enjoy gaping as the most extreme form of anal sex they can enjoy. We all like to test ourselves, and gaping is a way to test our anal endurance.

You can try some of the biggest sex toys you can find or experience the largest feeling of fullness possible inside your anus.

Others, men in particular, enjoy gaping as an element of power within a relationship.

Having a long period of anal sex and then being able to visibly see the result can be very empowering. It can also be a massive confidence boost, seeing exactly how much space inside someone’s body your penis takes up.

In a time where many men suffer from insecurities about the size of their penis, this confidence can’t be underestimated. Another less common reason is simply to please another.

It could be something that your partner enjoys, and you simply go along with their desires.

Or maybe something that’s ordered by the more dominant partner in a relationship with BDSM elements. Ultimately you may just like to give your partner pleasure.

How Do You Gape Your Anus?

There are a few simple steps to anal gaping that anyone who wants to try it should know. Before you even start, you should always use an enema kit.

You’ll be exposing deeper parts of your rectum than you would in traditional anal sex, so you’ll want to be sure it’s as clean as it possibly can be.

You can never be completely sure that you won’t have a run in with some faecal matter, but it’s never a bad thing to lower the chances. Another step to take before you begin is to try and be as relaxed and aroused as possible.

You can do this any way you need to, like candles or music, and you may even want to have an orgasm or two while warming yourself up.

Both of these things help to reduce the tension in your body and relax all of your anal muscles. Being loose and relaxed make it much easier for you to achieve your goal of gaping.

The final part of preparation is lubrication.

You already need a lot of lubrication for any normal anal activity, but as this is going to be some of the most extreme anal activity you’ll try so you’re going to need more lube than normal!

Even if you think you have enough, more isn’t going to hurt! Keep your bottle close by as you’ll almost definitely need to apply more during your session.

One you’re fully prepared, it’s a simple matter of getting on with it.

You’ll want to start with smaller objects and gradually work your way up to larger and larger ones until you reach your goal.

It can be helpful to make circular motions as well as in and out movements to help open up your sphincters.

These motions will fool your sphincters into thinking that your bowel is full, causing them to open up more and producing the gape you’re aiming for.

Dangers Of Anal Gaping

When performing one of the most extreme sex acts, it should be expected that it carries some of the largest risks.

Unlike many other types of sex acts though, there isn’t really a great way to mitigate these risks. If you’re gaping, there’s a chance something can go wrong.

The most obvious risk you’ll encounter is damaging your anus. This will often take the form or tearing, bruising, or abrasions.

Most of the time damage will be caused by moving onto your larger toys a bit too quickly or being a bit too rough.

This won’t just be painful for your butt, but it can also make it much easier for you to contract bacterial infections.

If you do happen to damage your anus, you should have a break until it has recovered.

Other risks are much worse. The anal muscles are both delicate and quite thin, so it’s much more likely for STIs or STDs to be transmitted anally than vaginally or orally.

Even worse, these weaknesses mean there are some links between anal play and cancer, happening most often among men. In most cases this will be limited to people suffering from HPV, so practising safe sex should protect you (but you should be doing this anyway).

Perhaps the largest and most terrifying risk is that of a prolapsed anus. This is where some of the internal rectal muscles end up outside of the body.

It sounds just as unpleasant as it is, but luckily there is no clear evidence that anal gaping can cause this.

You are just as likely to suffer a prolapsed uterus during childbirth, so you probably shouldn’t worry about it too much.

That’s a quick overview of anal gaping. I know some of you will have read this and will now quickly close your browser and never think about gaping ever again.

Some of you might be curious now though, and there might have even been some of you planning to try gaping before you even started reading.

Hopefully now you have a better idea of the process, and can go into it safely and armed with your new knowledge!
