Anal Stretching with Anal Sex Toys

While shopping for your ideal anal sex toys, you might have run into the term anal training.

 

The process of anal training is simply a stretching of your sphincters over time to accommodate larger and larger objects. Every time you are able to comfortably move up to a larger object, smaller ones will become easier and less painful to insert. 

 

The overall goal for most people who start anal training, is to simply be able to enjoy anal intercourse without pain or difficulty. Many of us are put off anal sex for life by one painful experience or won’t even try it in case it hurts. By taking the time to train your anus gradually, you can be sure that you aren’t going to feel any pain. 

 

Pain free sex isn’t the only reason for someone to train their anus. Some like to work their way up to some very large objects. You might wonder why someone would do this, but it’s a very personal decision. 

 

Some like the feelings of fullness you get when having something in your butt, and larger objects increase this feeling. Others just enjoy the challenge of taking larger and larger objects. Or it might be a completely different reason. Whatever the reason, building up your training over time is the safest and least painful method to reach your goals. 

How Much Can You Stretch Your Anus?

When you first start anal training, you might wonder exactly how far you can take it. After all, the whole reason it hurts to put things in your butt is that it doesn’t stretch very much.

 

This isn’t entirely true. The tissue and muscles inside the rectum are actually very stretchy and flexible. It needs to be able to grow and stretch in order to hold larger amounts of faeces. Scientists have even tried to study this flexibility, but still haven’t even been able to determine how flexible it actually is. 

 

We do have a little bit of an idea of some of the limits we can push our butts to. We’ve all heard the horror stories of people ending up in the emergency room with various objects stuck in their anuses. These objects can be quite surprising, with things like door knobs, bottles, or even live animals being removed from the patients. 

 

Just because we don’t know exactly how far we can push our bodies, we do know that it is much further than you might think at first. When it comes to sex toys, you should be safe with nearly any toy you can find. The main thing is to just take it slow and build it up over time. 

Can Anal Stretching Be Dangerous?

Upon hearing the word stretching, many of you might think this is an irreversible process that will forever change your butt.

 

This isn’t really true, and most forms of anal stretching aren’t really going to affect your everyday life. Even in the most extreme sessions of anal stretching or even anal gaping, your muscles will usually return to its original shape and size in the next six hours or so. 

 

Regularly performing extreme sessions of stretching is where the risks begin to present themselves. If you do this too regularly, then you may damage the muscles permanently. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to rest and recover in between sessions. 

 

The other big risk of anal stretching is quite simply overdoing it. 

 

If you rush too quickly to larger and larger toys, then you may tear the tissue which lines the rectum and will need surgery to repair it. Even if the damage isn’t that extreme, you can still suffer bruising or sensitivity which will take time to recover from. Making sure you’re using enough lubrication, and gradually building up to larger toys is the best way to avoid this. 

How To Stretch Your Anus

The simplest way to start anal stretching is just to use your fingers. Starting with one well lubricated finger, insert it into your anus and start moving it around and around in a circular motion. While doing this you need to apply gentle pressure to the muscles, pushing out from the centre of your anus.

 

This doesn’t just serve to gradually open up the sphincter muscles, but also can feel very nice. We never said the process of stretching your anus had to be unpleasant! Even when you’re a little more advanced and stretching with larger toys, a simple finger massage can be a great way to warm yourself up. 

 

Once you’re comfortable with one finger and you feel nicely loosened up, you can move to a second. If you use two fingers from the same hand continue with the same circular motions you were doing with one finger. 

 

Another option is to use one finger from each hand, letting you perform half semi-circles in both directions at the same time. Whichever method you choose, continue building up until you feel comfortable enough to use a sex toy. 

Using Sex Toys To Stretch Your Anus

There are two types of anal sex toy which are ideal for helping to open your anal muscles: Butt plugs, and anal dilators.

 

For butt plugs, it’s very easy to find a set described as an anal training kit. This is a collection of usually three or four different butt plugs which grow in sizes. 

 

The smallest will be very modest and shouldn’t take a lot of work to get used to. The largest in a set will usually be quite large by butt plug standards. 

 

It’s a simple matter of starting with the smallest plug and working your way through the kit to the largest. Once you can insert and wear one without any pain or discomfort you can move up to the next size and repeat the process. 

 

This isn’t just limited to these butt plugs, and you can graduate to larger and larger toys even past the largest in your kit. 

 

You don’t need to complete this entire process in a single session. It’s usually much better for your muscles to space out your training and gradually build up over the course of a few months. 

 

Another important point is that you don’t have to move onto a larger size whenever you become comfortable. Each of us has our own limits, and when you feel like you’ve stretched your anus as far as you want to then you can simply sit back and enjoy yourself. 

 

Anal dilators are a little less sex toy and more of a sex tool. 

 

These are just like vaginal dilators and are basically a reverse clamp. You insert them into your anus while closed, and then open it up. 

 

This lets you hold your anus in an open position for as long as you’re comfortable with. You can build this up over time, increasing how long you keep your muscles stretched for longer and longer. 

Can Numbing Creams Help With Anal Training?

Some forms of lubrication have numbing properties which can help reduce the sensitivity of your anus while you wear them.

 

This might seem like a good idea when you’re trying to stretch your muscles, but it’s actually a bad idea. 

 

Pain is the first response your body will have when something isn’t going quite the way it should. It’s like an early warning sign for your body. If you use a numbing cream, you might inadvertently push your body further than you were intending. 

 

This can cause you some serious harm and might hurt an awful lot once the cream wears off. In general, it’s better to avoid these entirely. 

 

However you decide to stretch your anus, the most important things are to use plenty of lubrication and to take your time. If you don’t it doesn’t really matter how flexible your anal muscles are, it will still hurt. 

 

With a little care and time though, it shouldn’t be long before you can fit exactly what you want into your anus.
