Cleaning Your Sex Doll

One of the most important parts of owning and caring for your sex doll is cleaning. This isn’t something you can just do occasionally. You’ll need to do it after every single time you use it. If you clean your doll carefully and thoroughly though, it’ll go a long way towards vastly extending its life.

Why do you Need to Keep your Sex Doll Clean?

I really hope this isn’t a question you need answered for you. On the off chance though, let’s go through it.

With any sex toys, there’s always going to be bacteria which will build up over time. On top of that, both men and women produce natural bodily fluids that will stick around on your toys over time. At the very least they’re going to smell, and at worst they can cause your body some serious problems

The other consideration when you own a sex doll is that it’s actually quite an expensive investment, so you’re going to want it to last as long as it can! Thorough cleaning won’t just keep the parts of the doll that you use in good shape. Giving the skin a regular bit of TLC will help keep the doll looking great overall and stop the skin from degrading over time.

What can happen if you don’t clean your sex doll?

In case you aren’t convinced that cleaning isn’t a very important thing, there’s a few things that you might find happens to your doll over time.

One of the worst is mould. This can build up in the cavities such as the vagina, mouth or anus. It can happen if you don’t clean your doll, or if you clean your doll but don’t dry it properly due to the leftover moisture. Nobody really wants to have sex with something mouldy, and it’s not good for your body either.

Another thing that can happen is that the skin of your doll will get much worse. Due to the materials they are made of, the skin will very naturally attract all kinds of dirt and dust. Without proper treatment, it becomes sticky or clammy, which in turn attracts even more dirt. After a while, your expensive beautiful doll will look like it’s been dragged around in a field for a while, which is sure to ruin your sexual pleasure.

How Should You Clean Your Sex Dolls?

When you first think about cleaning a sex doll that is quite a large thing, it can seem a little overwhelming. Where do you even start?

For general cleaning, there are a few areas that it’s best to focus on. These are unsurprisingly the areas you use the most: The vagina, dildo, anus or mouth. After use these parts are likely to be full of bodily fluids like semen or vaginal fluid.

Some dolls are fitted with these areas as part of the overall mould. Others will have removable or detachable parts. For cleaning the removable style is preferred as you can much more easily get into all the nooks and crannies.

If your orifices are removable, then take them out and rinse them with a mixture of water and soap. You can hold them under the tap to make sure the water gets along the entire length of the vaginal or anal canal. Don’t be too rough though or you might damage the surface and make them feel less stimulating than they did before.

For parts that can’t be taken out, getting to them is a little more difficult. You’re going to need to find a way to position your doll so that you can get easy access to these areas for cleaning. Some people find it best to position the doll over the toilet, leaving you plenty of room to get down to the dirty parts. Others prefer to have the doll lying down. Just experiment with different positions and see what you find the easiest to work with.

A great tip for getting into the orifices you can’t remove is to use a turkey baster. Fill it will soapy water and squeeze it into the hole. You can flush it out several times to get most of the gunk out. Small brushes can also work wonders, but make sure the bristles aren’t too sharp or they might damage the skin.

Full Body Sex Doll Cleaning

Cleaning the most commonly used areas covers any day to day jobs you’ll need to do with your sex doll, but every so often it’ll need a little bit more of a thorough clean. The majority of the dolls skin will gradually accumulate dust, lint and fluff.

This is done in the same way as you clean any openings, just on a bigger scale. Your whole doll will be getting wet though, so you’ll probably want to do this in the bathroom or kitchen to avoid getting your carpets soaked. If you have nowhere else to do this but your room, then putting down a sheet, towel, or tarpaulin can help protect your carpets (and will help with later stages of cleaning your doll).

Once you’re ready to start, it’s usually best to have a bowl of soapy water and a cloth so you can keep going back and getting a little more water rather than soaking the doll. Gradually work your way around the entire doll and thoroughly wipe all of the areas of skin. Try not to be too rough and avoid using any rough fibred cloths or scouring pads as you’ll damage the dolls skin.

Another great option if you have a bathtub is to simply put your sex doll in! Not only does it help you get to all the areas of your dolls body, but you could even jump in with them and share a fun time with your favourite doll. Take care when lifting your doll in and especially out of the bath though. All the water left on the doll will add a lot of extra weight and you might cause yourself some back problems if lifting incorrectly.

Drying your sex doll

Once you’ve got everything cleaned off, you need to dry your doll thoroughly. Any moisture left in or on the dolls skin when you put it in storage can stay there for a long period of time and eventually lead to mould forming on your dolls skin.

Nearly all the time, the best way to let your doll dry will be completely naturally. This can take quite a long time, so you’ll need somewhere the doll can stay undisturbed until all the water has gone. A bathroom might seem like a good idea at first, but if anyone is planning on using it in the near future then the condensation can build back up on the doll and make it take even longer to dry.

Some owners might decide to try various methods to speed up the drying process. It’s up to you what you do, after all it’s your doll, but in general anything you do isn’t going to go brilliantly. You can use a towel to pat the excess water off, but you need to make sure it isn’t going to leave a load of extra fluff back on the doll you’ve just spent ages cleaning. Going for a less fluffy towel is usually the best idea. Some people even bring out the hairdryers! I can’t recommend this as it makes it much more likely that you’ll damage your doll, but if you absolutely must speed things up then make sure the hairdryer is on the cool setting.

To dry any orifices properly, you can make use of tampons. Simply put them inside all the dolls openings and leave them there to absorb the leftover moisture.

A great idea I’ve come across is to have a hook installed above the shower or bathtub in your bathroom. This way you can uses ropes to suspend your sex doll in the air to wash then leave it there to dry. It also helps with the next stage…

Powdering your sex doll

After washing and drying your sex doll, you might find that it becomes a little clammy or sticky. This is completely normal and is just down to the kinds of materials used in making realistic sex dolls.

You counter this by using a powdered product to rejuvenate the skin of your sex doll. There are many options out there called renewal powder, rejuvenation powder, sex doll powder, or similar kinds of names. They are all roughly the same, although you might find that one particular powder works a little better on the type of doll you have.

If you don’t really want to spend the extra money on any “special” products to keep your doll looking great, you can try corn-starch instead. It does exactly the same thing, so works great as a cheaper alternative!

Getting Rid of Stains on Your Sex Doll

General cleaning is all well and good, but if you get a stain on the skin of your sex doll then you might need a little more thorough cleaning. Stains are much more difficult to deal with than regular dirt, so you should take steps to try and avoid it wherever possible

The clothes you dress your doll in are the most likely thing to stain them. Most of the time light colours will be less likely to stain than dark colours, so you can make a conscious choice to try and protect your doll. If you really want to have it wear dark colours though, make sure to wash them several times before you dress your doll in them to make sure the colours aren’t going to run. The same applies to your bedsheets. I’m sure at some point in your life you’ll have had colour rub off on your walls from your bedsheets. Exactly the same effect can happen with your doll, so vibrant colours may need to be avoided.

In the unfortunate event that you do end up getting a stain on your sex doll’s skin, all is not lost! The first thing you can try is some targeted scrubbing of the affected area. You still shouldn’t use anything particularly rough, so you don’t damage the skin of the doll. You might not be able to get all of the stain out at first, but it should at least fade a little.

Over time if you regularly clean the stained areas, the stain should fade more and more until it is completely gone. It might take a while, so you might want to try and cover up the area until the stain is gone. Long clothing or just the right type of clothing should stop you from seeing the discolouration.

Cleaning isn’t the most exciting part of owning a sex doll, but it’s an incredibly important one. If you keep up with it and thoroughly clean things when needed, then your doll will look a lot better for it and last a lot longer. It’s a little effort for a lot of gain, so there’s really no excuse!
